Meet Craig
Craig Lewis is the founder of Lewis Financial Group, a CPA, and CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional with more than 40 years of experience in the financial services industry. He specializes in investment, retirement, estate planning, and more importantly, in helping clients safely reach their lifetime goals and dreams, as well as passing their core values on to future generations.
Craig first began his career with KPMG, one of the largest international CPA firms. He is currently the owner and principal of Lewis Financial Group, LLC. He is also the owner of The Private Wealth Design Group™, a fee only, wealth management firm.
Craig received his Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license in 1974 and his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification in 1987 from the College for Financial Planning. He is a registered Securities and Options Principal, successfully completing the Series 4, 7, 24, 28 and 63 Securities Exams. He received his Bachelor of Science in Accounting in 1973 from Louisiana Tech University.
Craig has been named eleven times as “One of the Nation’s Best Financial Advisors for Doctors” by Medical Economics magazine. He is a member of the Louisiana Society of CPAs, American Institute of CPAs, Tax and Estate Planning Council of Shreveport. He is also the author of “Focus on Your Values, not the Value of Your Toys.”
Craig is a Ducks Unlimited lifetime sponsor in perpetuity, Elk Foundation lifetime sponsor, and a Coastal Conservation Association lifetime sponsor. Some of his other favorite charities include: St. Jude’s Children Hospital, Shriner’s Hospital for Children, Providence House, Shreveport-Bossier Community Renewal, the Salvation Army, and Noel United Methodist Church.
Outside of the office, he enjoys just about every outdoor activity, including duck hunting, archery elk hunting, and fishing. He is also a runner, having completed a half-marathon, as well as a 25K Texas hill country trail run. His accomplishments would not have been possible without the loving support of his wife of over 40 years, Suzanne, with whom he shares two daughters and four grandchildren.
